I had to share my excitement somewhere. I got a pair of 10x42 Monarchs last night and am excited to use them. They looked really good in the store and fit me better than the Wind River Cascades. I have to wait until Saturday to give them a good outdoor use though. Definitely a step up from the Bushnell 7x37s I've been using.

Monarch's are a good buy.

The Monarch's are one of the best buys in binoculars. I am sure you will enjoy using them. I have a pair of 8x42 Monarch's. What I like about them is the fact that they only weigh 21.5 oz(less than a 8x32mm Swarovski EL) and they are very compact but yet they are a full size 42mm aperture.
