Little Owl Nest site disturbance (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there is a penalty for anyone disturbing the nesting site of little owls? A local farmer had some owls nesting in one of the farm building and they've nested there for years. But this year, although the adults have been seen regularly flying to & from the nest site the farmer has decided to remove the roofing tiles leaving only bare roofing timbers from their nest site. The owl was sitting on the bare timber calling and looking very lost last night!!!!
