Long-tailed duck critique please (1 Viewer)

Falco peregrinus

i drew this using drawing pencils and my birds book
this is the first time i've ever used a scanner so i'm not sure how it works but i went over some of the lines so you could see them better.
it's not in color because i'm not very good at color yet and the things in the back are supposed to be hills but you can't really tell.

Good work - keep it up.

I wouldn't rush into colour - keep at the pencil work, and concentrate on light and shade.

thanks for sharing,

Keith.

I like how successfully you've kept the body as simple as possible, it creates a very strong image.
