Help - 'Sent Items' in Outlook Express (1 Viewer)

All of a sudden I've lost most of the sent items in my 'Sent Items' folder, and my sent mails are no longer being saved. I run Outlook Express 6 under Windows 98. When I open the program and go to Tools, Options, Send, the box with 'Save copy of sent messages in in the 'Sent Items' folder' is checked. I tried unchecking it and then re-checking it in the hope it would re-set itself but to no avail. Any suggestions please?

Try this program

Hi Allen,
There are a few programs that will extract the data in dbx files. This is one hope. It is called DBXtract. I forget exactly which format it will deliver in.

I know how valuable the Sent Items folder is. Emails are some of our most valuable items. If this doesn't work out, I can send you to some great OE help sites.

I have an OE backup program that backs up all the folders, settings etc. It is called Express Assist 7. It works very well and will even transfer all your mail to a backup computer too. It even does IE favorites, etc. Nice program.

Good luck with your project. Let us know how it plays out.
