Good morning! This is my first time on this forum, and I'm new at putting up feeders in the yard. I tried putting up a regular tube dispenser feeder with wild bird feed, only to see it all eaten in 2 days by a large flock of sparrows. I did some research online, and it seems a possible solution to the problem is to put an additional feeder of cracked corn out for the sparrows, who would then leave the other feeder alone (at least more than before). However, I found out that sparrows are an invasive species in North America, and I worry about the implications of feeding and encouraging an invasive species. What are your thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
