Similarities to Alberta (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
I may be moving to California (Agourra Hills specifically) at some point due to parent's jobs, and am interested in the local birdlife.

I have previously lived in Alberta (Canada) and wondered how similar the local wildlife was.

For example, would I be able to catch up on birds I missed in AB (i.e. Violet-green Swallow, Baltimore Oriole, Yellow-headed Blackbird, Magnolia Warbler)? And would there be many birds that I would have not seen or be used to before?

Thanks in advance
