Hi all,
Have a pair of zeiss conquest hd and Swift Audubon binos. I had a pair of smaller and cheaper minox binos but I lent it to somebody and they have lost them unfortunately.

Would like to add something portable, waterproof and with nice optics. There is just so much information online I cannot get my head around things, but from what I've read there appear to be some giant killers around the 150-200 price range from : Carson, Razor, Nikon, Zen Ray, Delta Optical, bushnell legend m, athlon midas.

Would greatly appreciate your suggestions as not going to be able to compare most of these against each other so your experiences with them would be the best way to help me choose

These are lightweight, very easy to handle, w/p, and well worth trying out :Kenko Ultraview EX OP DH II 8x32

You may be able to find them within budget.

In comparison the Minox would be no loss.

Good luck, and welcome to BF.

Will agree with Samandag about the Kenko 8x32 I have one and use it most of the time. Works for me with glasses or with out glasses. Very nice light wt. binocular.

Thanks for that info, probably the most economical 8X32s that provides a great view, I use the Fuji KF for my field work, great resolution in a handy light glass.

These Vanguard Endeavor's ED 8x32 would probably be a little better than the Kenko's. They are listed on Ebay.uk. for 175.00 GBP. In the Birdwatching.com ratings of 8x42 mid-priced binoculars the Vanguard's were 1st scoring 5.00 and the Kenko's were 26th place scoring 3.53 .

Hello Kazino and welcome.

You might also want to have a look at the Kowa YF 8 x 30 Porro Prism binocular , it may meet your requirements.

I am happy with mine. Cheers.

If you don't mind used (6 month warranty) these Opticron Verano HD 8x42's might fit the bill.

New £409 now £180.

That is a good price on the Opticron's but I am not sure I would want a hair in my binoculars.

"In good condition with minimal to no marks on the outside, small hair in the front element which can be visible on top left eye piece."

Thanks for all your suggestions, have looked into all of them and they are all fantastic binoculars and I'm sure I would be happy with any of the them. In the end I settled on the vanguard endeavor's ed ii 10x42, because it is on sale with a rebate and is coming in around 210$, the v1 version is available around 140$, I almost bought them both they are just such good value
