Which heron? Guanacaste, Costa Rica (1 Viewer)

Please identify this heron. She was hanging out this morning in our swamp with a pack of wood storks and 2 great blue herons. Never seen her before, so guessed she was hanging out with mom and dad. Thanks.

Thanks, Dave

Thanks for the ID. We have 42 species of birds in our swamp, just 6.8 hectares, at risk of urbanization in the craze for building in coastal Costa Rica. Attached, the great blue heron (please correct me if I'm wrong), who was, indeed, taller than the woodstorks with whom she was bickering. Too bad I wasn't able to capture her together with the Tricolor Heron.
Cheers
Sara
