can anybody help,or give me some idea what could be wrong,I have a contax u4r camera, which I use for digi scoping, the problem is that, when I switch it on,everthing comes on,then after a few minuets the lcd screen fades to white, you can see nothing,it is still switched on and you can press the different modes and hear them activating, you can press the camera button and it will bleep to say it is focused and ready to take photo, but you can see nothing.I thought it may be the battery,so I changed the battery ,the screen litup and it was ok,then a few minets later, same again, still on but white screen,I then changed sd card ,it worked again then a few minuets later back to white screen.I switched it off for a while, then switched it back on,it is now showing blured colored lines, the modes are all sounding like they are working but the screen is showing blured colored lines, can anybody throw some light on what may be wrong,I intend to take it to acamera shop to see what whrong, and what it will cost to repair it,its run out of warrenty,it is 18months old.thankyou.jacksnipe.

Hi Jacksnipe

i have 3 Contax U4R's and i am still using the first one i bought a couple of years ago and god knows how many pics later, i have never heard of this problem before and it sounds as if you have tried to work out the process of elimination to no avail, it doesnt sound good, and it looks like the camera shop is your only avenue now, which i am afraid wont be cheap with these things, i wish i could be of more help, good luck anyway
