Thinking Marsh harrier for the first, maybe Short Toed Eagle for the second. Neither photo is great but appreciate any views. Cheers.

Thought I might mention, and sorry if you are aware, but just some 30kms from you, around Sagres, raptors have been continuing the last days. Last Saturday brought 1,022 Griffons with about 15 Short-toed and about 15 Booted Eagles, 2 juv. Spanish Imperial Eagles, 2 Eur. Black Vultures, 2 Black Stork, 1 Egyptian Vulture etc. Also, single figures of of Bullfinches and Brambling have been coming through, both quite difficult birds to see in the Algarve ;)

SimonWates - thanks for the heads up. Yes saw the Griffon vultures coming through at the back end of last week near Salema. Two consecutive afternoons, hundreds at a time. Not been down to Sagres this week though so may pay a visit before returning to the UK at the weekend.

That's good, its a wonderful sight. I was worried because as these movements are rarely visible from Lagos, people there who maybe didn't know, would miss them ;)
