A shame, we're nearly at the end or our walk round the lake, so I'll show you another of Pam's 'bird' boards. Beautiful, isn't it.
And another view looking back up the lake.
There were a couple more birds of note a female Magpie Lark and a female (well I'm pretty sure it's a female, which means I've still not seen a male) Australasian Shoveler.
Also seen/heard on our meander Blue-billed Duck, Little Grassbird, Dusky Moorhen, Black-fronted Dotterel, Australian Reed Warbler, Brown Honeyeater, New Holland Honeyeater, White-cheeked Honeyeater (but I didn't get good enough views to 'count' it really), Rufous Whistler, Western Gerygone, White-fronted Heron, Australian Raven, Australian Magpie, Weebill, Welcome Swallow, Tree Martin, Grey Butcherbird, Black-faced Cuckooshrike.
So a lake that really is well worth visiting if you're in the area.
We ended up in the restaurant for a very welcome cuppa. A kind waitress took a picture for me of my new friends.
Clockwise from the front: next to me is David's wife Pam, Mike Bouette, June, Alex and David Free.
Thank you all so much for the lovely morning. It was wonderful to meet you all and I had a grand time.
