Went to see the Green Heron the other week, because the bird was very still for long periods, i decided to take a few pictures with my Nokia N95 mobile phone which incorporates a Carl Zeiss Lens, it was handheld to my Zeiss 85 Diascope and zoom eyepiece set on 30X, and the optical zoom on the camera set to just under full optical zoom.
The bird was on the canal dam so quite close, (15 - 20 metres?) weather was overcast, some rain and dark, but no wind, so pic has been lightened and sharpened and colour balance altered, the picture is the original but resized, it has not been cropped.
The data for the picture was as follows -
2592 x 1944 pixels
File size - 2.45mb
F stop - 2.8
White Balance - Auto
ISO - 100
Shutter Speed - 1/200th
Exposure Compensation - Minus 1
Sharpness - Normal
Contrast - set to 0
Scene Mode - Auto
Colour Tone - Normal
Original pic wasnt too bad, but colour rendition has never been really good with these mobile phone cameras, but sharpness and contrast is ok, and i took 12 pictures of this bird, and this was the best of the bunch
