Interesting! I hope several other birds known from a single specimen (like Vaurie's and Nechisar Nightjars) will be simlarily evaluated.
 
I find the post very uninteresting unless someone can provide some details. Such a untraceable citation ("R. W. R. J. Dekker in litt. (2008) ") does nothing to advance our knowledge of Gallirallus. What were the methods? results?
