Google Street View birding (1 Viewer)

After LOTS of fruitless searching I finally found something new in Victoria, BC, Canada - American Wigeon - https://goo.gl/maps/JQK9m2RJJBaaRDtk6
Not sure if the gull to the left is Iceland or Glaucous (leaning towards the latter as it looks bulky).
Nice American Wigeon addition - I'll not number it now as I need to go through the last page-and-a-half to check through what I've missed! The gull I'd say is an immature (2nd or 3rd year?) 'Olympic' Gull, hybrid Western x Glaucous-winged; AFAIK this is the about the commonest large gull in the Vancouver area.

Because it's still safer than actual birding - and it is a bit chilly outside too....

St Buryan, Cornwall, England - Whitethroat (could be Dunnock or maybe Lesser Whitethroat but general look and behaviour, as well as pic being from May points to Whitethroat for me). - https://goo.gl/maps/RJzobUYzAi97bw696

Looks better for Dunnock to me.

Happy to go along with that, Rafael. There was a different angle the throat looked white, but looking again, the underside looks quite dark and more Dunnock-like.

Another new addition.....
Christchurch, New Zealand - Black Billed Gull - https://goo.gl/maps/XdscjeHkDLJSxdpN6

(Happened to read a trip report about New Zealand and wondered if the colony was on Streetview - it is).

Didn't capitalise the 'green' as I just meant they were green in colour - forgot there was an actual Green Bee-Eater. Found a few other Bee-Eaters elsewhere in Sri Lanka that appear to be Blue Tailed Bee-Eater which is the one species we have already.

I'd forgotten about this thread! Not sure I've still got the master list, unfortunately

The Johnny Rook (whatever that is? looks like a Caracara of some sort?) isn't valid, as it's a 'see inside', not gsv. Sorry!

It's the Falklands name for what is known everywhere else (ironically, where the bird does not occur) as a Striated Caracara :) (y)

As for the master list, you can always remake it 😁 😁 o_O

Nutcracker, most of the list is still available a few pages back. Just needs some more recent species verified and added.

Nice to see this thread resurrected - I was an enthusiastic participant earlier on in the thread, so I might start Google birding again! 😁
