Feeders and birdbaths?

I recently moved from USA to Cebu, and have a bird-promising yard. Is there any point in trying to put out a bird feeder? I have created a makeshift bird bath (tub on a chair) but not much action, But I did catch a banded bullfrog in it.

This is a somewhat controversial topic in the Philippines but some people do it. There are not too many species that like the sort of food that boreal birds like though.

Thanh.s Ive never heard of any controversy in the American south, for setting out fruit to attract tropical species. But I can understand why there might be conflicting sympathies.
