What is this crow doing?? (1 Viewer)

For the last month this crow has been hanging around...first time we ever noticed it..it was my husband outside...the crow was desperately cawing...loud! Finally my husband said " Hello" and no word a lie...the crow said it back. A very clear hello.

Since then we naturally took note of this crow and have been leaving old bread ends...even spoiling it and leaving out peanuts etc. The bird will caw like mad to get us to come outside and then sit and give conversation like in the video for awhile.

It doesn't have a partner...so I'm assuming its young? And maybe a little confused?
