In S.W.Spain,large numbers of migrants still moving through,on 13th.and 14th.Sept.,in La Janda area,Sparrowhawk,Yellow Wagtails,Short Toed Eagles,Common Buzzards,Sand Martins,Swallows,Marsh
Harriers, Montagu's Harriers inc.1 Melanistic form,Turtle Doves,Melodious Warbler,Willow Warblers,Hoopoe,Wood Sandpiper,Greenshank,Green Sandpipers,A few Bee-Eaters,Black Kite,2 Red Kites (uncommon),juvenile Woodchat Shrikes,Reed Warblers,Booted Eagles (light and dark phase).
2 Species of interest perhaps here were a totally albinistic Stonechat and 2 juvenile Spanish Imperial Eagles still present,the latter species have been released here recently and are being tracked by the Spanish with radio transmitters.
At Los Lances beach on Saturday afternoon 14th.,a juvenile Dotterel present ( uncommon),plus Hoopoe,Spotted Flycatcher,Tawny Pipit,Whinchats,Audouin's Gulls,plenty of Sandwich Terns.
On Monday 16th.,finally had our first real rain since April time and this brought down large numbers of Yellow Wagtails esp.on the Golf Courses.
