Post Barraband in Orange-cheeked Parrot a k a "Barraband's Parrot"

Regarding the French Artist and illustrator Jacques Barraband (1767–1809) commemorated in (Gypopsitta/Pyrilia) Pionopsitta barrabandi KUHL 1820.

Can anyone please help me to translate some French to English (as accurate as possible)?

The sentences I´m interested in, and would like to quote, is from Levaillant's Histoire Naturelle des Perroquets 1905, Vol II pp.102-103, where he (without any redundant Scientic Names, French is enough!) described it under the name: "Le Caïca Barraband" with the following, verbose motivation (as attached):

Quote:
And please don´t hesitate to remark on any typing errors that I might have done in my transcription.

Thus we shall distinguish the Caïca of Brazil from that of Guyana, assigning to the former the name of that distinguished artist whose talents have furthered in the most effective way that desire I have always harbored to satisfy the wish of naturalists by publishing images so accurate that they might once and for all determine the identity of species in an unchanging manner: now, in this regard, we owe a very great deal to the skill of this painter of nature; for without him and the talented men (Messrs. Bouquet and Langlois) who, each in his own way, have also earned the respect of the public, my own zeal would perhaps have waned considerably. May those naturalists who value our exactness bear witness to my personal gratitude towards these renowned artists by maintaining the names for those species to which I have assigned them in order to perpetuate their memory.?
