This bird was sat about 3m from the ground, couldn't get a shot of the tail unfortunately.

I'm guesseing African Goshawk or Little Sparrowhawk?

Edit: Apologies, it's Uganda, not Rwanda, Entebbe Botanical Gardens.

Thanks, is the bright, breast side patches, a feature of AG?
It is mentioned in the description for Little Sparrowhawk.
Agree with Valéry.
This corresponds to the ssp sparsimfasciatus for which the HBW says "..with much variation in amount of reddish on flanks and underwings."
