Congratulations to all who took part in the all dayer. With the Flashes turned into a field, 81 is an outstanding result under such difficult conditions.
Didn’t they do well!:t::t::t::t:

The Black-headed Gull sporting white leg ring 2K44 is both the long-lived and most frequently recorded gull at Upton Warren. It was originally ringed in the nest at Cleveland Farm, Cotswold Waterpark, Wiltshire on the 12th June 2007 and has been recorded back at that site in May 2008, May 2009 and between March and May 2010. Sightings at Upton Warren comprise:

- 27th July 2009
- 5th August 2009
- 16th + 23rd July 2011
- 2nd August 2014
- 27th August 2016
- 17th August 2017
- 8th September 2018

I strongly suspect that the yellow ringed Black-headed Gull I had last Monday in the Flashes roost sporting leg ring 2??J was in fact yellow "2RNJ" which was noted last year at the Moors Pool on the 2nd and 16th September; it was ringed as a juvenile at Fishers Green, Essex on the 16th October 2016.

Highlight of the day for me was the Kingfisher who showed very well in front of the concrete hide.
