This story was running on PA wires earlier today:

1 ENVIRONMENT Reserve Devon

WORK BEGINS ON NEW NATURE RESERVE

A nature reserve is to be created in countryside around Lopwell Dam
in Devon.

Work is now under way, thanks to grants from English Nature and the
National Lottery, and the reserve will eventually be designated by West Devon borough council.

The work is being carried out by the South West Lakes Trust, and
will feature an arts and education centre in a redundant pump house.

Good news for Gods own country, i have always felt that the whole county should be turned into a National Park, could you imagine the benefits !!!!

With Roccombe Farm and Salcombe Diary ice cream points every five miles too! Aaaaaaaaahhhhhh! Droooool!!!

Lopwell dam brings back memories, of a fantastic Spotted sandpiper, on the edge of the river about 3 feet from the car window. blooming marvelous.
