Swaziland and KNP (1 Viewer)

Off to Swaziland again next month. Having lived there as a child for 3 years, I returned last year, for the first time, and my only regret was not returning sooner! Also visiting KNP, staying at a couple of rest camps. Hubby isn't coming along, so I have all this time alone doing whatever I want to do.

Anyway, this time, I am incredibly lucky, as someone I know from the 70's in Swaziland, is an Honorary Ranger at KNP, and lives in Marloth Park, on the Crococdile River, so I will be visiting there too.

Back in Swaziland, if you don't have the time to visit any of the Reserves such Mkhaya or Malolotja, or you are with your family, then stop by at Mlilwane, where you can either drive, cycle or walk through the park. Plenty of Zebra, antelope, warthogs, etc, and great for families. Plenty of bird watching at the Hippo Haunt restaurant too.

I envy you Helen! My parents lived in Swaziland for three years and I was lucky enough to spend six weeks with them there; what a beautiful country. I get to go to Kruger annually and love it. You will be able to go in easily from Marloth and, of course, you get very good bird and animals viewing in Marloth itself. Have a great time.

Well, what can I say.....except I will be returning soon! Had a wonderful stay in Swaziland, saw some good friends, and saw some wonderful wildlife in the Kruger, a place I haven't been too since 1976!

Managed to get some shots of some great birds, as well as getting up close and personal with some crocs in Swaziland!

Will upload my pics into the gallery...

So glad you had a wonderful time Helen. Will enjoy looking at some of your pics. The croc is a great start - you make a rather unattractive animal look almost appealing!
