Bird from Eastern Africa

A friend asked me to identify this bird from his trip to Africa.

I don't have any field guides for Africa so I am hoping someone here can help me.

Am using the Helm reference "Kingfishers Bee-eaters and Rollers" by Fry, Fry and Harris.

Lilac-breasted Roller is the closest match I can find there too.
