Eider/King Eider? Fife, Scotland 23/1/16

Out with Fife Bird Club today we stopped off at Ruddon's Point, Largo Bay, Fife to search for the female King Eider which has wintered in the area for a few winters and had been seen earlier in the day. Unfortunately, light and conditions on the water as well as a strong wind made checking the female Eiders tricky with birds disappearing in the waves after the briefest of glimpses. I had a few glimpses of a bird that looked potentially like the King Eider, but I was struggling to keep the scope steady and my eyes from watering to be sure. As I was taking a few photos of the flock containing the possible, a bird took off allowing a few photos to be grabbed. However, the photos are not particularly good but do to my eye show a more compact, thick necked bird with a different head profile to an Eider - but having never seen King Eider in flight I can't be sure. An experienced birder watching through binoculars didn't think it was the King Eider. I'm not sure, either way, so I'm looking for opinions on the bird, please.....
(colours may not be wholly accurate, though they do appear to show a warmer colour to a normal female Eider).

Not easy as the quality of the photographs aren't great, but leaning towards King Eider on jizz IMO
