Excellent repair service for old Kowa scope

Hi all,

Just for the records, I sent back my old Kowa Tsn-3 telescope body for repair to Kowa Europe in Germany, exchanging e-mails about possible repair beforehand. Of course, nothing happened after checking the telescope body in-house, so I received it back without repairing it.

Thanks to God, I found OptRep in the U.K., and they make all the necessary repair works in quite short time for nice moderate price, and I received back my unit in excellent working conditions, all prism recemented, etc. I am now very happy with it, and very content about the outcomes.

Cheers,

Krisz

hmmm... So Kowa basically just received, take a look around, then returned it back to you with no work being done?

Yes. They said that there is no spare parts to repair it. Seems, that beside that, no intentions/experience for old scopes....

Well to be fair, the TSN-3 went out of production sometimes in the 90s...
