Agree. Maybe worth noting that its a native in Portugal and its name has nothing to do with Peru....something to do with a ship IIRC ;)


Yep, the specimens that Linnaeus described as a new species were sent on board the good ship Peru. Linnaeus did know that it was from Portugal (Lusitania), though it seems Clusius had been misled earlier.
