I went out today for a little relaxation and fun. The first stop was Sunset Park at their Pond which is always hopping with Waterfowl, Pigeons, Grackles, and other assorted birds.
Canada Goose
Chinese Goose
Ross's Goose (FIRST TIME EVER SEEING TWO IN ONE LOCATION)
Mourning Doves
Rock Pigeons
American Coots (just a few not as many as I normally see)
Hummingbird (did not see them clearly enough nor was I able to get a picture of them that showed any kind of detail)
Muscovy Duck
Great tailed Grackle
Mallards (Believe they are loosing their breeding plumage see photo below)
Double-crested Cormorants (Actually saw 4 of them together. At one time I watch two of them come off of the island in the middle of the pond together and go into the water.)\
White Crested Duck (Male and Female during breeding I thought the male was going to drown the poor female)
And several others that I have yet to id....will posting them in the id forum.
