Hi Guys

I have recently purchased a D-300 camera and on different threads I read of people doing Firmware Updates on the D-300. Question How do I know if my camera needs a firmware update and if so how do you accomplish this process? I presume that firmware is the camera's OS.
Thanks Redtail7

Go to the SETTINGS menu on your camera, scroll down the list and you will find FIRMWARE. Press this and you will/should see which firmware version is in your camera, it will be shown as versions A and B.
Current versions are v1.03. for both A and B .
You can get the updates to down load from your countrys main Nikon site ( probably something like nikoncanada). There you will find all the info to update your camera and how to do it.
regards I4ani.

Hi Guys
on my camerain the firmwares menu is as follows A 1.01 and B 1.00

it's relatively easy to update your firmware, just make sure you do both A and B, very important!
the instructions are included when you upload from the Nikon site so it's straightforward.
