French Macro Moth for ID (1 Viewer)

Well-known member
My daughter and family holidayed near La Rochelle in August this year and saw this moth which, I thought would be relatively straightforward to identify but, I can't seem to match it to anything in my UK ID books.

Am I missing something obvious?

The vernacular name for this (in France) is La Déplacée (literal translation "the displaced"). It is better than the translation of the latin elocata, which means "one hired out" (i.e. a prostitute).
