1) Ballpark figures whether real or imaginary just don't cut it - any lister worth his/her salt knows exactly what's on their list.Andy Bright said:1)That was noted and my figures are still in that 'ballpark'.

That's entirely up to you Tom. Just bear in mind that the committee's decisions are final.tom mckinney said:If year listing, should we list with potential splits in mind for the future?
I'm sure all the female members of BF are of phalaropic and therefore more brightly coloured than their male partners.James said:Now theres a thought, how can you positively identify the duller half of the species (females) when they are constantly disguising their plumage?????????
Jizz!! Behaviour seldom changes. Especially amongst the adult "mated for life" individuals. Immature and pre mated individuals could give ID prioblems.James said:I am in winter plumage rather than full breeding plumage so bear this in mind when looking for me at Leighton Moss. Sadly I will never be in full breeding plumage again short of using "Just for Men" hair dye.

Would've thought I was the other way round. Reminds me of Morcambe & Wise!:.Andy Bright said:CJW said:1) Ballpark figures whether real or imaginary just don't cut it - any lister worth his/her salt knows exactly what's on their list.
Although I would love to publish our list, the thought of missing a member out and the ensuing heartbreak for them and embarrassment to birdforum means that it will have to stay private
That's fair enough Andy.Andy Bright said:CJW said:1) Ballpark figures whether real or imaginary just don't cut it - any lister worth his/her salt knows exactly what's on their list.

That's sort of my point Tom. Once you've seen one, you really can't be ar**d going for them again.......tom mckinney said:There are no Capercaillie in Speyside - believe me I've tried hard enough! :C
CJW said:I think contentious records (e.g. Adey's stringy Jane Turner) would need to be confirmed by the "tickee"!
I'll have to see about that....I'm the veritable collared dove in terms of bf member tickability, and I really like the thought of you missing out on such an easy tickCJW said:That's fair enough Andy.
Will you be coming to the Oop North Bash then I can get you on my list and out of the way? A bit like going for Capercaillie in Speyside.
