Rebates (1 Viewer)

I notice Canon are offering substantial rebates off their 10x42, 15 and 18x50 models till June.

Might or might not mean something regarding new models but I've never seen rebates on any of their binoculars before.

I'm not finding any rebates in the USA but the prices are very good at B&H Photo. If anybody knows where to find a rebate in the USA please let me know because I'd like another 15x50.

Makes you wonder why an electrical goods retailer specialising in household items, computers and some phones wants to be bothered with one range of binoculars. I would imagine that once they've cleared their stock of these they won't bother replacing them.
Probably tied in with Canon printers.
Good deal for those wanting an IS bino though.

I must of missed that, or were you thinking of these which I did get ?

If the Canon rebate had been running at the time the price would of been around £260 for a new 10 x 42 L !

I saw that offer on their website but I already had the 10x42 L at about the same price. The 15x50 offer was later in June.

I think Canon are the same as Nikon in that they have a minimum order value for dealers, which means that many of the smaller dealers can't afford the outlay and have stopped stocking them. Only the big outfits such as Currys can build up an order with printers and cameras as well as binoculars. In addition, Currys only sell the Canon binoculars online so the chance of testing them at a dealer is very slim. I have never seen one in a dealers. What a crazy way of doing business!
Currys still have the whole Canon binocular range for sale with the Canon cashback offer on selected models.
