ZEISS DTI thermal imaging cameras. For more discoveries at night, and during the day.

has anyone tried one of these (1 Viewer)

Generally that method yields quite poor results. The eyepiece basically projects an image onto the cameras sensor but eyepieces don't project a flat image. This can result in an image that is sharper only in the middle and softer or out of focus away from the centre. So many people try this method and are unhappy with the results. It really takes a specialised flat image projection eyepiece to get anywhere near decent photos with eyepiece projection. Better results can be gained by having a low to medium prime lens on the camera and photographing through the eyepiece.
