Definitely not a bargain, but for those desperate for a Harris, Shirihai, Christie 'Macmillan Birder's Guide to European and Middle Eastern Birds' there's one on Amazon for 120 (!). These don't come around too often, so don't all rush at once.

Edit: that's the second, rare, one.

You sure Tim? Can't find a record of it - just a couple of copies of the first guide.

Yeah, that one comes up pretty regularly. It's the second one that's the holy grail for some people. I can afford to be smug though...

Err, there will be two out there now because mine has just gone on e-bay. Don't use it that often.

Regards,

Stephen.

This is like waiting for a bus. None for ages, then...

Hope you put a decent reserve on it.

What's it listed as, Stephen? Can't find it using 'obvious' search terms?

Thanks,
Graham

I typed in "middle eastern birds" and the all categories search and it came up as the only item.

It finally showed up under "middle eastern birds", but it took some fiddling around with the search options. I don't exactly know what went wrong. Not that I need this book, I already own it. But I tried to check whether I really find what I am looking for. And, apparently, that is not always the case. Thanks for the hints and for confirming that it was still there.
