This video was made with the Panasonic HDC-TM300 camcorder using the Olympus TCON 1.7 teleconverter lens with a Sennheiser MKE 400 camcorder external microphone. Below is a picture of the set-up.

Hi, I like the look of this set up. I have a Panasonic HDC TM300 and would like to use the Olympus convertor, do I need an adapter to attach the lens.
Thanks for your help.

You will need a step-up ring, 43mm [filter diameter for the TM300] to 55mm [diameter of the threaded end of the TCON 17].

I use iMovie under Snow Leopard, currently iMovie'11 with version 10.6.4 . It downloads all MTS directly from the Panasonic camcorder, gives me the option of archiving the original files, and one can export the clips that one wants in MOV format, or in Final Cut XML format. Since I don't have Final Cut, I process videos within iMovie itself and find it perfectly adequate for my current level of video experience.
