Was at the driving range yesterday, hitting a wedge, when a Hobby came flashing over and swooped down after my ball, practice balls are yellow here.

It disappeared behind some trees then had another go after a second ball so no fluke!

Both attempts came up short but surprisingly close! It was super quick and then gave a nice fly past......

I should add that I have played golf for 40 years and never seen a bird of prey try to pluck my ball out of the sky - I have had a few birdies and eagles in my time though..... (and I have heard of seagulls stealing balls before - a couple on YouTube)

Never an albatross then?;) Pure speculation but perhaps a young bird would be thinking*» ooh, a nice bright willow/chiff for lunch*» as your perfect shot flew through the air?
