Bird painting ID mystery (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I'd be enormously grateful for any assistance identifying the smaller bird in this painting. I'm afraid I don't know anything about it other than that the painter was Japanese who travelled extensively in the Far East and Australasia.

Can anyone ID the cockatoo? - that might be a useful clue if one can assume both birds illustrated on the one page were from the same location.
 
I'm inclined to narrowed it down to these two..

Rufous-vented Niltava and the Spectacled Monarch (Moluccan)
