Nikon 20-60 eyepiece problem (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

I’ve just been looking at my telescope - haven’t had a chance to get it out for weeks - and I noticed something odd with the eyepiece. The glasses cap doesn’t seem to twist out far enough. I have to hold my eye well back in order to avoid the dreaded black marks.

I have posted two photos. One is at minimum and the other is the furthest I can twist it out.

Is this normal or should it be twisting out further.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

doesn't look normal - but I don't own a Nikon scope... btw. what is it - classic fieldscope (50, 60, 78 or 82mm), Monarch, EDG or some of the older and cheaper series?
