This is the second bird which was at the bird store (see "Northern Goshawk" for explanation), used for falconry only. Yes, it is a real bird.

In case you are unfamilar with this bird, it is a large raptor. This one is not yet fully grown, about three-quarters of the way there.
 
Brian this is BEAUTIFUL... wow is a great word to use at the sight of this... I knew you were good but this is exceptional!
 
Thank you Gaye and Ian. I was able to get about 2 meters from this fellow, which interestingly enough, presents its own problems. (Though those are the kind of problems I like!)
