Great Snipe or common Snipe? Iran (1 Viewer)

Hi everybody,
please help to identify these bird? It was alone, and had a big size and seen two weeks ago.

It's a Great Snipe.

The very prominent white bands on the wing coverts, the greyish, barred underside and the not so long bill are good features.

How nice to have seen this normally more secretive bird so well out in the open!

The only Things I doubted on,is the barred underside.According to the books, flank and belly of Great snipe must be more barred , but the bird in the photo has not specified barred underside,is it ok ?

Well, not entirely perhaps, but the ground colour is grey, not white, and adult males aren't as barred on the belly as females and juveniles.
