Looks like a Common Buzzard Buteo buteo to me. Pale breastband and general Buteo shape would seem to indicate that. I think the squarish-looking tail is just wear.

Cheers,

I can't see any reason it isn't a Common Buzzard, Ody, nor any reason it should be anything else. If you can't altogether rule out Rough-Legged from the photos, you can because it's in Greece in July. But you know Buzzards, Ody, so I wonder why you ask? Did you think it was something else?

Graham , we don't have RL Buzzard according to collins. I thought it could be a Long-legged Buzzard!
The pics belongs not to me.I didn't watch it myself. A friend of mine send this pics to me und I thought I could share it with you!

Ah, I see. No reason at all not to conclude common buzzard, then.

I cant make it to anything but a Common Buzzard. But dark carpal patches and its rufous flanks have me interested in some better comprehension. Outstreched appearance.. and elevated wings maybe?
Tail appears very dark and equally is its hood...madness to think about anything else. But hey, leave thinking free please!
