Oldsquaw in Louisiana (1 Viewer)

This young clangula hyemalis has been present for several days along the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. A very unusual, but welcomed winter visitor.

Great bird pattianne! I'm looking forward to spring when they'll pass through here again. And just fyi, the AOU has changed the common name to Long-tailed Duck.
