Hi,
We saw the moths in the attached pictures at Bedruthen steps on the North Cornwall coast on 4th August around 14.30 on an overcast afternoon. I presume there was a male and a female with the female appearing to be huge in the body. Size of the male similar to say a Meadow Brown butterfly.
I'm not good on moths so any help appreciated

Thanks Dan. The female certainly is a beast: never seen such a huge body on a moth or butterfly.
