Tripod and tripod head advice needed (1 Viewer)

Hi guys, I recently purchased a Swarovski ATX 85 and have been looking at upgrading my tripod+head. I currently have a Velbon Delta with a ph-157q head.

If at all possible I would like a lighter tripod and a fluid or gimbal type head. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks.

I am far from an expert on fluid heads so I will not comment. I find Gimbal type heads a bit awkward for scope use personally.

As to tripods? I would search out a used Gitzo GT3530LS, 1.8 kilos and extremely stable. The newer models are more expensive, heavier and offer no advantage IMO.

Just my 2p.
