Wood Storks Stop Over (1 Viewer)

Goatnose

Inspired by IBW
Hundreds of Wood Stork near Almyra Airport today. They came from too high too see (literally out of the ozone) and too numerous to count. Between 4:30 to 5 this afternoon. An amazing spectacle to watch dropping in on a shallow reservoir already holding Great and Showy Egrets and Great Blue Heron and a very few Yellow Legs. Just Spectacular.Almyra is 10 miles east of Stuttgart Ar.

Thanks for your reply Deborah.
That is a :

BALD CYPRESS TREE
Taxodium distichum
I have heard Biologist say that we have those trees around here that are 8 or 9 hundred years old. Not sure if this tree is that old or actually how to guess the age of a Bald Cypress.
