Wisconsin bird with red and white pinstripe neck (1 Viewer)

Today I saw a bird that had a red and white pinstriped neck. When I went to ask my mom what it was, it was gone by the time we looked back over the porch. I do not think it was a woodpecker because it had a shorter beak, and was looking for worms in the grass.

I live in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

If you could please help me figure out what this bird is I would greatly appreciate it.
