What's the best rubber/plastic cleaner? (1 Viewer)

Have you ever used a conditioner at all to remove blotching I see sometimes in the armor of the older models
Thanks
Dan

I think a mild soap and water is good advice. As far as a conditioner
never use a product like armor all, it just slicks the armor, and is a
bad thing for this purpose.

The armor does slick up on Swarovski binoculars, from the textured
feel from new. That is one thing that I don't like.

I won't even use armor all on my car ;)

I used Armorall on my Ultravid because the rubber smelled so bad but I wiped most of it off after a few minutes. Never had a problem.

With the Swaros I just use water. I see a lot of birders slopping on sunscreen and insect repellent and then using their bins. That, I believe, is the source of many problems associated with armor deterioration. I've seen more than a few Swaros with bubbling armor. Get a repellent with DEET on your hands and you're pretty much guaranteed to have problems.

Water...the universal solvent.
