My wife Jan had a great idea to prevent seed being spread far and wide over the surrounding garden(and our neighbours!). Any thoughts or suggestions to this? John

Hi ya John and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BF :t:

My only thought would be is to wonder if you have drainage holes in the plastic bottom? If not, that could cause a problem.

Hi Jan and John and a warm welcome from me too.

A great set up you've got there - very neat.

All things Scottish can be found here. Keep an eye on threads titled Scottish Bashes, we usually have one or two meetings each year and they're all great fun.

Thanks for the comments - it is the first time we have entered anything on the Internet - we have drill about 20 holes in the plastic base and it drains OK. Jan& John
