My wife and I recently started birding after I read an article in a magazine regarding birding. We each had our own hobbies but not a lot we could do together. So far we have been trying to identify the birds we are seeing and only having moderate luck with that, other than birds we already know, like Canada Geese and Mallards.

One of the first things I need is better binoculars as the compact ones I have don't give much clarity. Also, need a better camera, I've got this Sony DSC-H9 but would like something with a better lens. I will go through the forum to see if there is an area that has suggestions.

Thanks, Steve and Lori

Hi Steve and a warm welcome from me too.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.
