During our trip to Uganda and Rwanda last year, as we drove towards Kigali, Rwanda, we had the radio on in the car and we listened to the annual naming ceremony for this years crop of baby Gorillas. A procession of dignitaries came on, gave a short address then read out the name they had selected for their allotted baby. Some of those invited through their charity work were well to known to a wider audience, notably ex England and Arsenal footballer Tony Adams, retired football manager Louis Van Gaal and former ‘super’ model Naomi Campbell. In the last twelve month period, twenty five babies had been born they said.
