Opticron Savanna R 8x33 (1 Viewer)

I haven't seen anything posted yet here but Opticron has quietly snuck a new budget roof prism model into their lineup. It is offered in both the 8x33 and 10x33 configurations. I had some time to play with them over the last couple of weeks but haven't had time to put a formal review together yet. Until then here is a link to the basic info and some teaser pics....

Slimmer than the Veranos and with a different eyepiece than the popular Phillipines binoculars. 7 degree field of view but respectable sweet spot and only slight field curvature to the very edge of the field. Optically speaking they fit right at their respective price point between the Discovery and the Oregon. Very satisfied with the ergonomics/focusing feel.

I tried at a couple of shops last weekend but they were still awaiting stock. So Frank, it's down to you for the time being. ;)
